Our unique range of reproduction medieval misericord carvings are all hand crafted to a very high standard here in our workshop/factory based in Sheffield England. These reproductions are produced from moulds that have been taken directly from the original carvings found within the Cathedrals and Abbeys of the United Kingdom. The Cathedrals and ecclesiastic buildings from the middle ages are lavishly adorned & richly decorated inside with these beautiful carvings. Most of the carvings that we reproduce originate from the Misericords (this is Latin for Mercy Seat) which are flip down seats found within the Choir Stalls. Such Medieval carvings include depictions of Medieval Knights jousting, people & caricatures and beautiful carvings of Angels & Cherubs. Many of the carvings are more pagan in origin, such as the Green Man, dragons and other wonderful mythical creatures, while many others are of a more gothic nature & design.

We are the only company in the UK that has permission to take these moulds from the original Medieval, Victorian and Edwardian carvings and to then reproduce these for sale to both the Cathedral Gift shops and to our own customers. We take great care and pride in our work and our reproductions are a true and accurate copy of the original capturing all the authenticity and accurate with all the fine detail that was applied by the master craftsmen that carved these over 500 years ago.
