This is a cast replica produced from a mould taken directly from the original carving found within Lincoln Cathedral, England. We have exclusive permission to take moulds from original medieval carvings from within the Cathedrals & Abbeys of Britain and to then reproduce them for sale. These reproductions are cast from a resin composite and then stained to give the product all the fine detail, feel and authenticity of the original carving.

Taken from the medieval carvings found upon the misericords and supports within the choir stalls of Lincoln Cathedral. This is a delightful reproduction of a hanging Bat; it is a stunning piece, beautifully carved in perfect condition and full of original detail. The Bat hangs majestically to the wall with its wings spread out and its head slightly to one side, interestingly the medieval craftsmen have given this Bat a slight smile. This reproduction captures all the fine detail from the original and shows the quality of those master carvers that produced these great works of art. Comes with wall fixing and product label.
