Taken from the medieval carvings (C. 1450) found upon the Misericords within the choir stalls of Cartmel Priory. This carving is of the holy trinity face, three faces in one. Made up from an image of Jesus wearing a crown these three faces look not only straight forward but to the left and right. There are a number of versions of this theme in the Cathedrals of England, another being Ripon. General sensuous of opinion from the Cathedrals is that the ever presence of God is looking upon you no matter where you are within the building. This is a very interesting piece and one that attracts a huge amount of attention, a stunning focal point when displayed upon a wall.
This reproduction is taken directly from the original capturing all the fine detail applied by the craftsmen that carved this piece over 500 years ago. Comes with a wall fixing and product label.
